--Use a heading that summarizes the kind of information you are reading.

B. Impact of Discovery - How does this impact us today
--Place the number of the source used in front of each piece of information
--Record only one kind of information per card. (all economy facts go on Economy card)
--Write on only one side of the card.

Three ways to take notes:
--Paraphrase: use your own words to restate an idea (sentence)
--Summarize: use only a few words to restate an idea (phrase)
--Quote: copy the words exactly as written (“sentence or phrase”)
