1867 Elkhorn founded by George Crawford

1872 Elkhorn Incorporated with a population of 125

1876 Boardwalks were built

1886 Four classroom school was built at the site of Elkhorn Park

1888 Metz Hall built at 101 Pacific Street

1903 Bierback Saloon burned down; brick building built (now Boyd & Charlie’s).

1904 Town Hall built for $1,055.00

1909 Water system installed.

1910 Elkhorn population now 291

1916 Electric lights installed

1920 Lincoln Highway paved with brick through Elkhorn

1925 Elkhorn Library organized
